Saffron and Ginger Tea

Saffron and ginger tea is an excellent homeopathic remedy. The saffron in the tea acts as a natural antibiotic, while the ginger helps to settle the stomach and builds up your immune system.

Saffron, has been used throughout history to help alleviate negative symptoms and a natural treatment for immune, mental and physical diseases. The Saffron plant has been regarded as a miracle plant, today we know it as a spice we use in food dishes, but it is so much more. Saffron Tea helps to fight and aid in the following:

  1. Cancer
The more popular benefit of saffron around is saffron’s reported ability to contain and even eliminate cancerous cells.  There is a strong antioxidant in saffron that allows saffron to work against damaged cells in the body by removing damaging cells or at least preventing those cells from spreading further.
  2. Blood Pressure and Heart Health
Because saffron has a strong antioxidant, that helps to create another benefit. When toxins are removed from the blood, that helps to eliminate things such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure. As the saffron regulates the flow of blood, it is helping to prevent heart disease and it is also reducing the chances of a heart attack.
  3. Depression
Saffron tea can also help to relieve depression. Intake of saffron tea is reported to uplift one’s feeling of joy and happiness because it helps transmit serotonin to the brain. Studies show that saffron tea has the same antidepressant effects as taking over-the-counter drugs.
  4. Digestion and Regulation
One of the lesser known saffron tea benefits is that it can help to remove excess waste from the colon and it can also help regulate the muscles in the colon to make sure that all future waste is expelled as well. This reduces the availability of bacteria that is known to cause conditions such as measles.
  5. Muscle Tension and Menstruation
Consumption of saffron tea can help treat severe stomach and abdominal pain as it enhances health of the colon. In addition to that, Saffron is commonly used as a natural way to help induce menstruation and hence is useful to women who have irregular periods.  Saffron can reduce excessive bleeding and relax muscles, a common discomfort instigated by menstruation.
